Admaths Camp Rustenburg 2006:
24 pupils  - 97 matric distinctions

Few schools can compare with St Benedict's on its consistently outstanding matric results over very many years.  With its integrated approach towards religion, academics and sport
, the College has become increasingly well known for the outstanding calibre of its pupils - not only for their academic and sporting achievements but also for their integrity, dedication and leadership.

  Fifty years of outstanding achievement!

St Benedict's follows the S.A. National Curriculum from Reception in Grade R through to Matriculation in Grade.12.  In Grade.12 boys write the I.E.B. (Independent Examinations Board) National Senior Certificate Examination.

Attempts have been made over the years to introduce a greater variety of subjects into the curriculum.  These attempts, have been largely frustrated, however, by the school's traditional focus on mathematics, the sciences and, in more recent years, on information technology.

It is in these subject areas that our boys generally excel - and as a result achieve outstanding academic results in the I.E.B. matriculation examinations.  There has been no failure at the matriculation level since 1974 - and the University Entrance pass rate of our boys is generally of the order of 95%!

Computer Literacy is a compulsory subject at St.Benedict's from Grade R to Grade 9 - and thereafter Information Technology (Computer Studies) or CAT (Computer Applications Technology) are optional subjects in Grades 10, 11 and 12.
