Catering for boys from Grade 0 to Grade 7

After many years of making use of an externally-run After-School Care facility, St Benedict's established its own Aftercare facility at the school in 2006 to provide for afternoon needs of our Junior Preparatory and Preparatory School boys - and the peace of mind of their parents!

The staff of the Centre work closely with the Headmaster of the Preparatory School in creating the kind of Aftercare Centre that is indeed worthy of a school like St Benedict's. The Centre is staffed largely by St Benedict's teachers, tasked with giving full effect to an upgraded homework programme.

New furniture and equipment was purchased and in 2006 a new "playground" - particularly for our younger boys - was constructed, with jungle gym, sandpit etc. A light meal is provided each day. At its meeting of February 2011, the Board of Governors approved the development of the recently acquired facilities at 18A Dean Rd into a new and improved Aftercare Centre to cater for the ever-increasing demand.

A Holiday Programme - at an additional charge - operates in the April, August and December/January school holidays, but the Centre is closed from 16th December to ±3rd January.
