| Deposit Within 30 days of acceptance a deposit of R10 000 is required to secure accommodation at the school. This amount is refundable three months fter a pupil leaves the school, provided that his stay has been for a minimum of one full academic year. |

| Rebates To assist parents who have more than one child enrolled at local Catholic Schools (St.Benedict's; Assumption, Malvern or Holy Rosary, Edenvale) application can be made for a rebate on the St Benedict's School Fee (as well as the Trust Levy): 5% - two children enrolled; 10% - three children; 15% - four children; 20% - five children. |

| Examination Fees
As is the practice at most schools, from the 2011 Academic Year, parents will be billed separately for
external examination fees. (At present the only grades writing external
examinations are Grade 9 and Grade 12.) |

| Interest Late payments incur interest at the prevailing bank rate |

| School Tours and Excursions Additional charges are levied in respect of School Tours and excursions. This includes the costs of all sports tours and sports training camps. No charge is made, however, for the conveyance of pupils to or from normal sports activities. |

| Raven’s Gymnasium No charge is levied in respect of boys making use of the gymnasium. Boys must however be 14 years or older before being allowed use of this facility. |

| After-School Centre The After-School Centre operates from the close of school each day until 17:30, catering for pupils up to G7. A light lunch is provided. A schedule of fees and charges is available from Reception. Charges are payable to the Accounts Office only. |

| Grade R Assessments There is an additional charge for the professional Grade R “School Readiness” assessments. This amount is currently of the order of R 850 p.a. |

| Other Levies Charges are levied in respect of boys electing to join the St Benedict's Rowing Section, the Mustangs Swimming Club, the St Benedict’s Soccer Club and the St Benedict’s Cub and Scout Groups |
| | Text Books Text books are issued on loan to pupils from Grade R to Grade 3. Pupils from G4 to G12 are required to purchase their own books. |

| Stationery All G4 to G12 pupils are required to provide their own stationery and equipment as per the list supplied by the school. In GR to G3 parents purchase stationery packs prepared by the school. |

| Bursaries A small sum of money is provided by the St.Benedict’s Trust each year to assist parents experiencing temporary financial difficulty - by providing partial bursaries for pupils. As resources are limited assistance can be provided in only the most needy circumstances, to a pupil whose behaviour and scholastic progress is regarded as satisfactory. Such assistance needs to be applied for in October for the following year. |

| Notice In terms of the agreement signed by parents/guardians at the time of their son's enrolment, a full term's notice in writing is required if it is their intention to remove their son from the school or boarding house. (Alternatively a full term's fees and levy in lieu of notice is required.) Adequate notice is appreciated as it allows for timeous arrangements to be made for the reallocation of places at the school and boarding house. |
