Boys' success at St Benedict's has, over the years, always been built on:

bullet  the close interest staff take in the progress of each boy;
bullet  the good relationships between staff and boys;
bullet  and good communication with parents

The dramatic growth in enrolment at the College has meant that new structures have had continually to be put in place to preserve the special ethos at St Benedict's.  In recent years pastoral-care at the College has been overseen by a Deputy Principal who works closely with Year Heads in monitoring the progress (or lack of progress) of each boy.

Close interest in the progress
of each boy.

Year Heads in turn work with the five Class Teachers in each grade
and are responsible for contacting parents in the event that problems of any kind are being experienced at school.  In the same way, it is the Year Heads that parents should contact (rather than Class teachers) should they have any concerns regarding the progress of their sons.

Meetings of the Pastoral-Care Committee take place weekly.
