St Benedict’s Prep Rugby toured to Nelspruit over the recent April holidays. The squad was made up of 36 boys in the U/10 A and U/11 age groups. It was a very successful campaign for our boys as they gained true rugby touring experience on and off the playing field. Both teams faced the challenge of playing against some of the top rugby Schools from the Lowveld area. Through their courageous spirit and positive mindset some fantastic results were achieved.
The U/10 A’s beat L/S Witrivier 32 - 0, beat L/S Laeveld 10 – 0 and beat L/S Bergland 34 – 5. They narrowly lost to L/S Nelspruit 7 – 17. The U/11 A’s lost to L/S Witrivier 5 – 10, lost to L/S Laeveld 0 – 17, lost to L/S Bergland 0 - 32, and lost to L/S Nelspruit 0 – 10.
Well done to the respective coaches and their boys for keeping Bennies flag flying high during this campaign.
