St Benedict's College offers a busy and varied cultural calendar:  Chess, Drama, Debating, Public Speaking being the most popular. Every year, we stage a major production in conjunction with our sister schools Holy Rosary and Assumption Convent.

We are also the only boys school in Johannesburg to have our very own Pipe Band! Our Pipe Band started in 1988 with nine pipers and seven drummers.

In 2009 St Benedict’s College were the proud winners of the 40th RAPS One-Act Play Festival for Schools. A remarkable achievement considering that over forty schools participated in the festival – many of which offer drama as a subject! It is also a clear sign that Bennies is now a force to be reckoned with – not only on the sports field – but in the cultural sphere as well.
