ALLARD HOUSE At St Benedict's (from Grade R to Matric!) all day boys are allocated to one of the four day houses  - Allard, Erasme, Mazenod or O'Leary.

Brothers are allocated to the same house.  And sons of Old Boys to the same house as their fathers.

In 2007 a fifth house, Grandin House was added.  All boarders, whether weekly boarders or termly boarders are allocated to Grandin House.

Houses compete each year for the Mayoral Trophy, a trophy presented to St.Benedict's in 1967 by the then Mayor of Bedfordview.

At this time Bedfordview was an independent Village and had its own Council and its own Mayor - who often participated in functions at St.Benedict's.  Today Bedfordview is only a a suburb of Greater Germiston and there is only one Mayor for the whole of Germiston.

The most important inter-house activities each year are the annual Plays, annual Swimming Gala and Inter-House Athletics.
