Coach's Report

The first basketball season of 2013 promised to be a very good one for St. Bennie’s with an escalating number of boys who joined basketball across all three age groups (U/11, U/12 and U/13). This season we focused on the participation of the boys as we were constantly rotating the teams to give everyone who attended practice a fair chance to play in the weekly fixtures as well as the weekend festivals (however this may change for term three). With qualified student coaches our practice sessions were run in a professional and organised manner which was visible in the boy’s attitudes on and off the court. With good leadership from our basketball captain Emilio Rodrigues throughout the season we competed in three festivals and three weekly fixtures where the boys gave it their all in every game they played and achieved good results.  Well played to all the boys and good luck with the upcoming basketball season in the third term.
