Coach's Report

It brings me great pleasure to introduce the Golf Captain for 2013 – Marco Masicetti. I have all faith that Marco will take over where Keegan Poppesqou left off.
I must also thank Keegan for the amazing job he did last year, assisting me with all the admin and also being a wonderful leader to all the golfers both on and off the course.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Flude who has kindly agreed to take over the important role of Golf Chairman of Gauteng Preparatory Schools Golf League.

I wish Mr Flude all the very best and offer my support and guidance to him for 2013.

The year ahead will certainly bring its challenges but more importantly more young talented golfers wanting to play for the Bennies golf team.

The rules to make the golf team are very simple:

• A player must belong to a club and have an official handicap.
• A ladder system will be implemented at the beginning of the year and each golfer will have the opportunity of challenging the player above them.
• The Top 12 – 16 golfers will be identified early in the year and they will be given the chance to play in the school league team either in the A or B team’s respectively.
• The top 12 players will go on a golf tour during the August holidays.

Those keen boys who do not have a handicap but can play the wonderful game of golf will have a chance to play a round of golf with the other boys and coaches. It will work as a rotational system giving each non handicapped player a chance.

Our vision is to keep all boys interested in the game of golf.

Our goal is to eventually offer group golf coaching at Raven’s Park with a golf pro at reduced rates to Bennies parents. Watch this space…
