St Benedict's is in every sense a Catholic School and it is the Catholic Faith that is taught throughout.  Christian principles and moral values are inculcated not only through Religious Education classes and the R.E. and Liturgical programmes, but throughout the academic curriculum in the classroom and on the sportsfields.  We believe that the Catholic School's task is fundamentally a synthesis of culture and faith, and a synthesis of faith and life - the first is reached by integrating all the different aspects of human knowledge through all that is taught in the light of the Gospel;  the second in the growth of the virtues characteristic of the Christian, in prayer,in worship and in relationships with other people.

It is the Catholic Faith that
is taught throughout

The staff of the College contribute in practical ways, so that all may discover the meaning of sound Christian values, in thought, word and deed.  Our goal is that our boys may become a generation of adults who have hope in themselves, hope in Christ and hope in the promise of fullness of life.

"The Catholic School is a witness to the truth that genuine education seeks to do more than simply impart knowledge,
or train people to perform an economically productive task.
All education worthy of the name seeks to bring forth a full person, a person in whom moral excellence is no less developed than are theoretical or productive abilities."
Pope John Paul II
