Progress Reports

Progress Reports for Assessment

Three reports are prepared in order to reflect academic progress and assessment.

  • The first report is issued at half term in term 1 and provides an indication of how each boy has settled into the academic year. It speaks more to attitudes and behaviours than to academic progress. There are no marks, averages or competency ratings on this report. A Summative and skills report is issued at the end of semester one, the day before the Winter mid-term break and at the end of semester two. 
  • The other two reports are carefully designed ‘Summative and Skills Reports’ that reflect on the learner’s academic progress in the form of marks and symbols, with some commentary on subject skills and content covered. Subject teachers may also comment constructively on attitudes and habits that either hamper or help with progress. These reports also reflect on effort.
