Dear Parents, Staff and Boys

It is indeed both my pleasure and privilege to welcome you all back to our wonderful school on behalf of all at St Benedict’s Preparatory. I have been waiting patiently to begin my time as Headmaster and I am delighted to return to a boys’ school of such distinction. Though I have enjoyed some moments of welcoming each of the boys back, I look forward to addressing you, as parents, at the Preparatory Information Evening on Thursday 24 January in our school hall. This commences at 18h00 where I will take the opportunity of introducing myself to you, outlining the year ahead and providing you with the opportunity of meeting with the relevant staff in each grade.
As is alluded to by our theme for the year, ‘A Team Above All. Above All a Team’, it is fundamental that we take cognisance of the fact that kind, tolerant and progressive relationships form the core of all that we do here at St Benedict’s. I thoroughly look forward to establishing and maintaining constructive, authentic relationships with your sons and with you as parents so that we may travel this exciting journey together, collaboratively with a common purpose always in mind.
I would also like to extend a warm welcome to all boys joining St Benedict’s for the first time, including our Grade 4 boys who seem to be settling in well, guided by the expertise and warmth of the Grade 4 teaching team; we wish them all a fulfilling and meaningful journey ahead.
May 2019 be a blessed year for all here at St Benedict’s Preparatory. During one of my opportunities to address some of the boys this week, they were challenged to make memories this year, lifelong memories on which to reflect upon positively and proudly. I wish for each and every one of you the same.
Kindest regards

Brendan Quinn
