St Benedict’s was delighted to welcome our sister schools, Holy Rosary and Assumption Convent School, for a special Grade 8 Mass to kick off the academic year on the Feast of St Thomas Aquinas. The celebration highlighted the values of wisdom, faith, and community, setting a meaningful tone as our boys and their new friends embark on this exciting chapter.

While St Benedict’s is a boys’ school, we value regular interactions with our sister schools. These occasions provide important opportunities for both boys and girls to develop healthy relational skills, mutual respect, and confidence in social settings.

After Mass, the Grade 8s enjoyed breakfast and time to socialise, forging new friendships in a relaxed, welcoming environment. The morning was further enriched by alumnus Marco Manzella (Class of 2014), who shared how the relationships he formed at St Benedict’s shaped his understanding of brotherhood. His words inspired the boys to appreciate the connections they are beginning to build-friendships that will support them throughout high school and beyond.

Looking ahead, the excitement continues with the Major Production in March, where actors from all three schools will come together to showcase their talents on stage, further strengthening the bonds between our communities.
