We celebrated our Homecoming week this past week where alumni from 1964 all the way to 2019 joined us on campus for mass, gym and esports challenges. It is an honour to have hosted our boys and enjoyed interactions with them.

At the Alumni breakfast hosted after mass on 23 September, Dominic da Costa (Class of 2018) shared his St Benedict’s experience, recalling how it was a combination of serendipitous moments and change. From moving to Google suite in his time to a change to the house system, to launching the morning bulletin through the head’s collaboration with students. His best memories, like those of most of our alumni, are unrelated to grades and classwork. Those treasured moments are when he was with his friends on the field during break or on stage.

Dominic concluded by saying that he would not be the same person he is today, had he not been at St Benedict’s. It is these moments of serendipity and the continual changes experienced which have made him who he is today. Each of those moments, shared with fellow boys with whom a lifelong brotherhood was formed. Dominic Da Costa is currently studying Medicine at WITS.

We are exceptionally proud of all our alumni grow to become post their time at St Benedict’s. They truly embody what it is to be the light of the world.
