About St Benedict’s:
St Benedict’s is an Independent Catholic School, which seeks to provide a holistic education for boys through full participation in spiritual, academic, sporting, creative and cultural activities. The Board of Governors invites applications for the following post in the School.

Requirements and experience:

  • Possess a tertiary qualification in the sporting field or studying towards on
  • Minimum SAHA Level 2 Coaching Certificate
  • Have at least 5 years’ experience coaching boys up to 18 years of age
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have completed the FIH Umpiring Course
  • Managing, attending fixtures and arranging medics, referees, venues, equipment etc.
  • Understanding of and creating High Performance Training Programs for all age groups
  • Playing/coaching at a provincial, national or high senior level would be an advantage
  • Be an enthusiastic contributor to sports education, tours and the broader school programme
  • Maintain a professional stance in keeping up with the latest coaching trends
  • Have good leadership, people skills and be able to work positively with boys and parents around sports issues
  • Have excellent communication, administrative, planning and organisational skills
  • Be willing to participate in the Catholic Ethos of the School
