Locum Class Music Teacher (Prep School)

About St Benedict’s:
St Benedict’s is an Independent Catholic School, which seeks to provide a holistic education for boys through full participation in spiritual, academic, sporting, creative and cultural activities. The Board of Governors invites applications for the following post in the Preparatory School.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Bachelor of Music Degree or Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
  • Be passionate about teaching class music and be a team player
  • Have experience in teaching marimba
  • Be able to conduct and train choirs
  • Have excellent piano playing and accompaniment skills
  • Be willing to prepare and support pupils at concerts and performances
  • To prepare music for chapel services and assemblies
  • Be able to teach piano up to Grade 7 music level
  • The ability to play the organ and /or teach another instrument will be an added advantage
  • Must be prepared to work outside school hours, where necessary
  • Must be SACE Registered
  • Be willing to participate in the Catholic Ethos of the School

Applicants must be available to commence duty in September 2026.
