Community wellness and advancement

One of the things we value most about the ethos at our school is an interconnectedness that runs through all aspects of the school. You feel it as you talk to boys and parents. You feel it in interactions with all members of staff, from the grounds to the classroom to the staffroom.

Bennies Community

You can see it in the boys’ happiness levels – an almost tangible energy.

Our wellness philosophy of self-actualisation infuses our thinking and guides us when making strategic decisions for wellness and advancement at St Benedict’s.

We have various support structures available to support our community which include:

  • Wellness Department
  • Clinic
  • School Chaplain
  • TDI

Giving is also a major part of our ethos.

  • Beneficiaries we support
  • Ububele programme

Giving

Our ethos is to support members of the school community

Our ethos as expressed by the missionary nature of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate is to support members of the school community: students, families and staff, regardless of background, religion or circumstance. Community service and outreach forms a core part of our education philosophy and our boys are committed to promote social justice through their active engagement in these programmes.

Community service at St Benedict’s

Giving back to the community is part of who we are as a Catholic school. We support Nazareth House, St Francis Centre, Little Eden, and St Hubert Catholic Church.

If you would like to offer your time or donate, please visit their respective websites. Let us shine our light together!
