At St Benedict’s we understand what makes boys tick and keep them active with learning, sports and the arts. We nurture their minds, shape their souls, build their bodies and hone their hearts.

Happy Reconciliation Day 🇿🇦
On Reconciliation Day, we pause to reflect on our shared history and the journey we continue to walk as a nation. It is a time to listen with open hearts, to honour one another’s dignity, and to recommit ourselves to unity, respect and understanding in all that we do.

It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of the Bishop of the Diocese of Keimoes–Upington, Rt Rev Bishop Edward Gabriël Risi, OMI.
Bishop Risi, an esteemed Old Boy of the Class of 1966, remained a cherished part of our school community throughout his life. In honour of his service, leadership, and unwavering commitment to faith and education, our school swimming pool proudly bears his name.
We have been informed that Bishop Risi was called to the Lord this morning, having served the Church and its people with unwavering dedication until the very end. As a school community, we unite in prayer for the repose of his soul and extend our heartfelt condolences to the Risi family, the Oblates of Mary Immaculate, and the faithful of the Diocese of Upington and the Catholic church at large.
Funeral arrangements will be communicated by the Diocese.
“May the Lord receive him into His presence, and may His perpetual light shine upon him.” 🙏❤️
Matric Spotlight: Keegan Kung 🎓
Keegan Kung joined Mazenod House in Grade R and has grown into a determined and spirited member of the school. One of his fondest memories takes him back to the Grade 10 Orange River tour, a time filled with laughter, adventure, and camaraderie with his friends.
To his younger self, Keegan would offer a simple but clear piece of advice: do better. Looking ahead, his focus remains sharp and playful, staying true to himself with the mindset of “El psy kongroo.”
Adventurous, determined and resilient. Here’s to you, Keegan.
