Uncovering the Magic of Science 🧬🎨
Our Grade 4 boys got hands-on with Science during an exciting Project-Based Learning afternoon. Working in teams, they followed a series of instructions and explored a variety of experiments, discovering the science behind the “magic” along the way.
There was plenty of curiosity, excitement and teamwork as the boys experimented, explored and enjoyed learning through discovery.

A Maths Mystery to Solve ➕✏️💭🗺️
Our Grade 4 boys put their problem-solving skills to the test during a Project-Based Learning afternoon focused on Mathematics. Working collaboratively in teams, they tackled a challenging Maths mystery, following clues and using their mathematical thinking to work towards the solution.
With plenty of teamwork, determination and friendly competition, the boys were eager to be the first group to crack the mystery and uncover the missing key.

Meet the Matrics | Soneesh Govender 🎓
Soneesh Govender has been part of the Bennies family since Grade R as a member of Allard House. His journey has taught him the importance of staying strong through challenges, while holding on to his confidence, curiosity and creativity. Looking ahead, he hopes to always remember where he started and to “be kind to the world even when it isn’t towards you.”
Some of Soneesh’s proudest Bennies memories have come through the Drama Department. From winning Best Special Effects at FEDA in Grade 10 to earning several awards in Grade 11, his involvement grew even further when he took on the role of Stage Manager for the school’s first-ever FEDA-winning production. These achievements reflect both his creativity and the dedication he has brought to every production.
We wish Soneesh all the very best for the remainder of his matric journey and the exciting future that awaits him. Once a Bennies boy, always a Bennies boy.

Bennies boys represent South Africa in California 🏊♂️🇺🇸
Matthew Mann, Kai Whelan and Giancarlo Raccanello travelled to Irvine, California, from 10 to 15 August after being selected for the Swimming South Africa National Team for the 2026 Pan Pacific Championships.
The boys were accompanied by their coach, Gerard Naus, and had the opportunity to compete at an international championship alongside some of the region’s top young swimmers.
We are incredibly proud of Matthew, Kai and Giancarlo for earning their selection and representing South Africa and Bennies on the international stage. Well done, boys!
