Policy For Admission Into St Benedict’s

The normal points of entry into St Benedict’s are at the Junior Preparatory School level in Grade 00 or at the College level in Grade 8. Admission is possible in other grades only if and when vacancies occur. Usually new boys are not accepted into Grade 11 or 12. Boys are generally only accepted into Grade 10 if they move to St Benedict’s from an independent school.

Points of Entry into St Benedict’s

Admission to St Benedict’s is open to all. Application forms are available on the school website, are emailed on request or may be collected from the three administrative offices of the school i.e. Junior Preparatory, Preparatory and College. In addition there is an online application for your convenience.

Junior Preparatory

The Junior Preparatory School is from Grade 00 to Grade 3 and caters for a total of 400 boys with average class sizes of 25 boys.

Preparatory School

The Preparatory School is from Grade 4 to Grade 7 and caters for a total of 400 boys, with average class sizes of 25 boys.

College

The College is for boys from Grade 8 to matric. At Grade 8 and 9 level, 6 classes with a maximum of 25 boys are accommodated in each grade.
