The Father’s Hand

There are a number of St Benedict’s families who have lost their monthly income as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. Their situation is dire and they are not in a position to purchase basic groceries.

Since the start of the national lockdown, Fr Thabo has been assisting these families with a monthly “food parcel”. His efforts are entirely dependent on the generosity of others. The food parcels consist of basic foodstuffs and cost between R700 and R800. Monetary contributions as well as non perishable grocery items welcome. Should you prefer to compile the parcel yourself, please see the list below:

  • Food: 5kg Mealie Meal, 5kg Rice, 5kg Brown Sugar, 1l Cooking Oil, 5kg Cake Flour, 12 Lucky Star Pilchards, 6 Lucky Star Corned Beef, 10 Imana Soya Mince
  • Groceries: 2l Jik/Bleach, 500g Sunlight Laundry Bar Soap, 1.5L Handy Andy Cream, 2ply Toilet Paper
Please transfer your donation into the St Benedict’s bank account:
